"My intention is to reflect the beauty of the ever-changing things we miss in nature that can expand our creativity. The places I once saw with my own eyes are now a distorted memory flattened onto paper for the viewer to experience through their eyes. The simple things like a sunset full of clouds or a running stream are from my own photographs which serve as a reference for these works. Color pencils, pastels, and paper are the materials I manipulate to discover the motions these materials take to eventually develop into picture. "
